YOUR LIFE AS A PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST
This part-time crisis intervention position is on call and works as needed.
In this position with our nonprofit, you are critical to our crisis intervention team. Using your own addiction and recovery expertise, you serve as a resource to individuals and families in various locations within the community as needed due to substance use. You determine a client's need for treatment based on our assessment process. As you engage with and educate clients, you offer much-needed community resources to support them in their recovery. Warm and caring, you understand what these individuals are going through, and you offer not just information and support, but encouragement and compassion.
You work with outside providers and maintain relationships with different community-based programs. Always thorough, you conduct outreach and follow up with clients, families, and treatment providers. With attention to detail, you maintain all documentation and reports needed for the program. Making a difference as you provide crisis intervention and support gives you purpose. You love helping others!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Bilingual abilities are a plus but are not required. If you can meet these requirements and perform this part-time job as described above, we would be happy to have you as part of our nonprofit team!
