We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to lead our automotive axle manufacturing facility. As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in the production of axles. Your leadership will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction of the facility, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and profitable growth.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive operational excellence, meet production goals, and support company objectives.
• Oversee all manufacturing and warehousing operations, including machining, assembly, quality control, fulfillment, and maintenance, to ensure the efficient and timely production and distribution of automotive axles.
• Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure that all products meet or exceed industry and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with supply chain partners to optimize inventory levels, minimize lead times, and ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance measures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization efforts.
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to manufacturing and warehousing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
• In collaboration with Finance partners, develop and manage operational budgets, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize profitability.
• Lead initiatives to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices, such as Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to understand customer requirements, address concerns, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the engineered products industry.
• Proven track record of success in driving operational performance, implementing process improvements, and achieving production targets.
• Strong understanding of an engineered products manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, fabrication, quality control and distribution center operations.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems; is a must

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will oversee all operational departments within the automotive axle manufacturing facility, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, warehouse, and fabrication.
