East Carolina University is Hiring a Patient Care Representative Near Sylva, NC

This position serves in a business support role for the patients, dentists, dental students, and other staff at the Community Service Learning Center in Sylva, which is a part of the ECU School of Dental Medicine, to optimize practice policies and procedures. It is involved in the following: registration of patients, patient scheduling, cashiering, outpatient charge entry, telephone operations, setting clinic templates, retrieving insurance breakdowns, and other duties assigned to the dental office.
Minimum Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
License or Certification required by statute or regulation
None
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Associate Degree in Medical Office Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Management Technology, or other related degree from an accredited two year program with one year of healthcare experience or equivalent education and experience.
License or Certification required by the Department
None
