Overall Purpose: Maintains the hardware and software necessary for a hardened computer network and participate in technical analysis with a specialty in Local Area Networks (LANs) or Wide Area Networks (WANs) with a focus on performance, maintenance, problem resolution and routine hardware configuration. Essential Functions: Performs basic configuration, testing, and maintenance of LAN/WAN equipment and related services for Network Infrastructure Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic network problems. Escalates more complex issues to Network Engineers Maintains comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks Maintains and support company’s LAN/WAN environment and Network Infrastructure Develops skill set in Network management platforms; collaborates with Network Engineers create Network management reports, analyze, review, and identify system gaps; provides basic recommendations to improve systems efficiencies. Performs daily maintenance, problem resolution and hardware / software configurations Responds to incident and request management tickets in ServiceNow; responds according to proper SLAs. Performs maintenance of all Firewalls and attends Firewall Peer Review with Engineers Interact with multiple internal customers and external vendors to provide quality customer service. Participates in various in Audits, including, but not limited to, Internal Network Audits, SOC2 Audits, PCI Audit, and Bank Audits. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or specialized training/certification or equivalent combined work experience, education, and training. A minimum of 3 months Network administration, network engineering, computer programming or computer technician or related work/ intern/ course experience is required. Working knowledge in common network monitoring, security platforms, administrating network devices and setting and maintaining policies and rights within a network environment Effective analytical and decision-making skills to determine solutions such as hardware vs. software, hardware vs. firmware, software vs. operating system, network vs. application/systems, and patterned vs. non-repeatable problems. Ability to communicate with various levels of employees within the department and proven technical and analytical skills. Must be US Citizen or US National only. Background and drug screen. Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience preferred CISCO Certification(s) are highly preferred CompTIA Network Certification is highly preferred Experience in Network Management is necessary, What’s Up Gold is preferred Physical Requirements Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.
