HIGH SCHOOL SPANISH TEACHER:
Eagle Valley High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher with experience as a High School ELD (English Language Development) Teacher.
We offer several Literacy Intervention and ELD courses for our students. Given the classroom needs of our students, the teacher in this role should expect some co-teaching opportunities. Although not a requirement, native Spanish speakers may also be able to assist with some of our courses that are a part of our Foreign Language curriculum.
Skills that will be played up on in this role include: Supervises assigned students and maintains a positive learning environment. Adapts instruction to meet the individual learning needs of all students resulting in an increased probability of advancing their achievement. Maintains positive inter-personal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
EVHS serves the communities of the western part of Eagle County. We will have a total population of almost 1000 students next year and compete in 4A athletics as a part of CHSAA. Our demographics include 50% Hispanic, 48% White, and 2% Other ethnic populations.
