Dymentum Health is Hiring a dentist Near Martinsburg, WV

Required Qualifications:

SCOPE – General Dentist - 1099 position FT/ $76.00 per hr.

510 Butler Ave Martinsburg WV 25405Martinsburg VA Medical Center.

Contractor will perform the following, but not limited to:

  • Provides evaluation, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases, disorders and conditions of the soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity for patients assigned by the Chief, Dental Service.
  • Provides consultative services for patients referred from other sections of the Hospital and from affiliated outpatient clinics.
  • Provides emergency dental services as assigned.
  • Performs administrative and other tasks as assigned by the Chief, Dental Service
  • Provides teaching to dental residents and dental students
  • All other request made within reason of a General Dentist abilities

Period of Performance: The period of performance for this requirement is one (1) year plus one (1) option period. These services are required for 8 hours per day, 8:00 AM., to 4:30 PM., Monday through Friday and may include weekends.

TASK

Work performed will be as follows: General Dentist

  • Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity.
  • Diagnose pathological or abnormal oral conditions.
  • Administer local anesthesia.
  • Perform routine and complex restoration of teeth.
  • Perform simple and complex extractions of teeth.
  • Perform alveoloplasty and other routine surgical procedures.
  • Perform fixed and removable prosthetic dentistry to include but not limited to, immediate dentures, complete dentures, partial dentures, crowns and fixed bridge.
  • Perform routine endodontic procedures on single and multi-canal teeth.
  • Perform routine and surgical periodontal procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS -Dentist

  • Applicants must have a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school approved by the American Dental Association (ADA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
  • License: Applicants must have passed the National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) which are developed and administered by the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations (JCNDE) and possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • Completion of an ADA/CODA General Practice Residency(GPR) or Advanced Education in General Dentistry(AEGD) residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
