Description

Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist will report to the Human Capital Manager and will be responsible for various HR duties including but not limited to: Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, College Recruitment, Compensation, Compliance, and Benefit Administration. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee talent acquisition efforts for all corporate, exempt and non-exempt positions, ensuring Dwyer hires top talent that aligns with our culture and core values
  • Manage Company selection processes: Culture Index, Vantage, Internal processes
  • Oversee Dwyer’s Internship Program and campus recruiting efforts
  • Champion and serve as the point-of-contact for onboarding initiatives
  • Schedule and conduct new hire orientations for Corporate Office and assist other facilities with their orientation processes
  • Champion Employment Branding and Employee Value Proposition initiatives to attract top talent and provide a quality candidate experience 
  • Responsible for conducting annual and ad hoc compensation analysis for our manufacturing facilities
  •  Own and drive ad hoc projects given by manager or director
  • Act as an HR Business Partner by anticipating business needs, thinking proactively and responding appropriately 
  • Ensure compliance with corporate processes and policies, and state/federal requirements

Requirements

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology 
  • A minimum 3 years of relevant experience required in a manufacturing environment, preferably 5 years’ experience 
  • 2 years’ of recruitment experience required
  • PHR/SHRM-CP highly preferred
  • Proven ability to resolve complex problems by leveraging business/HR knowledge
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating a sense of urgency and results orientation
  • Effective communication, writing and grammar skills, paying great attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software platforms

Physical/Mental Essential Functions:

  • Ability to input data into computers and departmental systems
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and manuals
  • Ability to interact / communicate effectively with customers, employees, and external personal
  • Effectively communicate in English orally and in writing.
  • Ability to identify, communicate, and help prevent potential problems
  • Ability to solve practical problems within established parameters
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to deal with time sensitive situations on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to follow a set of procedures or set sequences
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Must be efficient with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to negotiate, motivate, redirect or convince others

Work Conditions:

Work in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some areas are narrow and difficult to maneuver. Work hours are from 8:00 am until 5:00pm with minimal flexibility. No elevator access to the second floor.

Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice as assigned by the Manager. The job description does not constitute a contract of employment and the position remains at-will.
