DV Therapy is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Palmdale, CA

DV Therapy Inc provides speech and language services, occupational therapy, and ABA services. The payroll specialist will report directly to the HR Manager and work directly wtih office managers and clinical directors to monitory producitivity for our clinical team. The payroll specialist will be responsible to review and adjust timesheets and process payroll.

Payroll Administrator key responsibilities include the following:

  • Ensure timely processing of bi-weekly payrolls in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles
  • Import time management, review approved timecard entries and input/edit hours, vacation, sick time
  • Enter/update employee 401K changes
  • Enter new hire’s, terminations, salary changes into ADP
  • Proof reports to ensure all payroll data is complete before transmitting to ADP for check processing
  • Retrieve payroll information not limited to gross earnings, deductions etc., to start new payroll cycle
  • Collect payroll reports for company file and audit purposes on a weekly basis
  • Organize building payroll checks to be distributed
  • System management archiving weekly payroll hours
  • Run weekly 401(k) report for reconciliation upload into 401(k) database
  • Adjust pay rates for annual increases for union/non-union employees
  • Yearly process of sick/vacation pays outs for union employees
  • Prepare benefit packages and benefit enrollment forms for all eligible employees
  • Research and compile necessary documents/reports for annual audit purposes
  • Employment/unemployment verifications via e-mail, telephone and/or fax
  • Frequent contact with ADP client service center for payroll adjustments, inquires and troubleshooting for technical support
  • Weekly filing and scanning of confidential documents

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • 2 years payroll experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ADP Workforce Run
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
  • Good understanding of common fiscal procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to details, strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of accuracy
  • Maintain high level of professionalism to deal sensitively with confidential material
