 Who is Dunn Tire? - Established in 1973, Dunn Tire is a locally owned and operated business with its headquarters located in Buffalo NY. Of its 26 retail locations, 3 of them are located right here in the Southern Tier Area. We have stores conveniently located in Fredonia, Jamestown, and Olean. In addition, your earning potential will not be hindered by being tied up on one job for days/weeks on large engine or transmission repairs. We focus on providing guaranteed hourly pay rates and paying generous monthly bonuses for repairs/replacement parts to a wide variety of both domestic and imported passenger and light truck vehicles. Services we provide include, but may not be limited to, alignments, steering/suspension components, shocks/struts, brake components, exhaust (behind the converter), basic maintenance repairs (oil, batteries, flushes, wipers, bulbs, belts, lights, filters, inspections, and minor engine repairs). Dunn Tire provides its staff with a great work atmosphere, knowledgeable Service Writers, Sundays off, a tool program as well as high-grade equipment to facilitate repairs. To support our Technicians in achieving next-level credentials, we will assist in registering for and reimbursing for ASE Certifications. Hours:

• 5-Day Work Week
• 40 Hour work week
• Overtime potential 2-3 hours a week.
• Typical Shift 8 am until 5 pm

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and troubleshooting issues on passenger and light truck vehicles
• Test driving, and performing repair and preventive maintenance work
• Examine various systems within cars to diagnose problems
• Remove parts that are worn or not operating properly and replace them with new or used parts
• Perform routine maintenance like oil, filter, and belt changes according to schedules established by various car manufacturers
• Explain repairs to customers and provide estimates for unanticipated repairs
• Suggest optional repairs and preventative maintenance to customers based on service intervals and/or wear
• Keep detailed records of all work performed
• Assist with the installation of tires when necessary
• General housekeeping and misc. duties as assigned
• Earning and maintaining a valid NY State Inspectors License
• Maintaining a valid States Driver's License

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of 1 year of on-the-job experience or the equivalent experience on an individual level
• Possess their tools
• Possess a valid States Driver's License
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
• The ability to bend, kneel, squat, twist, and stand for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation provided
• Dexterity to operate hand-held tools like screwdrivers and wrenches
• NY State Inspectors License is preferred but not required for this position
