DSFederal Inc is Hiring a Technical Project Manager II Near Rockville, MD

Description

The Technical PM ensures performance against contract and project requirements; serves as a single point of accountability and responsibility to the government; coordinates and ensures completion of deliverables, and other contractual requirements; performs risk management; manages project budget; provides technical leadership and design guidance; helps with architectural decisions.

Requirements

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works with both functional and technical project team members to deliver solutions in an agile manner.
  • Tracking milestones, and producing deliverables
  • Balances risks, schedules, and resources
  • Coordinates cross-functional teams of various sizes with diverse technical skills sets
  • Advises senior management on technical issues
  • Understands project requirements from both a business and a technical standpoint and serves as the liaison between business users and the project team. 

Requirements:

  • Formal education (minimum: Bachelor’s degree) in Computer Science or related field.
  • Requires at least 3 years of project management experience and at least 5 years of experience developing software and/or managing software development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of software application development
  • Experience managing software development projects using Agile methodology
  • Experience coordinating work across multiple teams and departments
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and lead major technology assignments.
  • Experience in delivery of complex enterprise-level software development projects

Technical Skills:

Required Skills: 

  • PMP
  • Development experience with a programming language such as Java, C , Python, PHP, etc.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience as software development technical lead
  • Experience working with Amazon AWS/Google Cloud
