Job Description


  • Conducts classroom observations, evaluations, and provides feedback that motivates and encourages learning.
  • Manages team for high quality care and early education for children and families and a rewarding work experience for staff
  • Implement quality initiatives and action plans
  • Builds and communicates weekly schedules
  • Daily management of classroom ratios
  • Builds and communicates center schedules to ensure appropriate ratios are always intact
  • Ensures that all teachers have trainings that are in compliance with NAEYC, QR , BFtS and DHCDC requirements.
  • Leads tours and enrolls with prospective families, highlighting key features and points of difference of our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.
  • Regularly communicates with families
  • Maintain students and staff records accurately and confidentially.  
  • Ensures the physical environment, sanitation and health/safety standards are implemented at all times
  • Responsible for accident/incident reporting
  • Conducts monthly emergency safety drills
  • Manages new customer administration and files in compliance with state licensing regulations
  • Familiar with other financial administrative functions including, but not limited to budgets, P&L statement and Labor percentage


Requirements

  • Two or more years of center leadership/management experience highly preferred. At least one year of team or teacher leadership  experience required.
  • Professional teaching experience in a high quality center (3 QR stars or NAEYC accreditation) 
  • Teaching experience with preschool children or GA Pre-K is  highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
  • CPR and First Aid Certification highly preferred
  • Must be able  and willing to drive the bus
  • Be able to pass an background check 
  • Exceptional professional conduct
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to details
  • Willing to go into the classroom as needed to ensure proper coverage and DHCDC ratio's are realized
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable, work well under pressure
