The Collection Specialist is an effective member of the Accounting Department providing superior service to our Franchisees. The Collection Specialist will bring value to the organization by contributing to the goals set by the department.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation;, payments, or adjustments.
• Maintains records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from customer.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.
• Work closely with the Collections Supervisor providing timely updtes on a weekly basis.
• Maintenance of Customer receivable ledgers processing account adjustment, small balance write-offs, customer reconciliations and credit memos(after proper approval is obtained).
• Communicate Effectively with Internal/External departments resolving issues.

Qualifications

• BS degree, or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Accounting.
• 5 years of accounting / finance experience, experience in credit & collections
