ABOUT THE TRUSS DESIGNER ROLE

• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Understand structural load transfer. 
• Produce individual designs and final layouts for wall, roof and floor systems
• Provide engineering support to customers when needed
• Resolve architectural and design discrepancies if they arise
• On occasion Truss Designers, meet with customers to review plans and answer any questions they may have
• Prepares drawings for manufacturing and production teams. 
• Prepares field layout for on-site installers. 
• Maintains high level of communication with all of the above parties. 
• Truss Designers assist with other tasks as needed.
• Think of yourself as a virtual builder, building homes virtually before material hits the jobsite.
