Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accounting records and files with meticulous attention to detail
• Perform daily rental billing

• Utilize rentalsoftware system to push daily confirmed quotes to QuickBooks accounting system to record current payments and future payments
• Review all credit card statements
• Manage Accounts Payable with supervision
• Manage AR and record checks and ACH in QuickBooks

• Execute all credit applications and background checks for new customers
• Post transactions and categorize records in the QuickBooks general ledger (i.e. by assets, liabilities and expenses)
• Bank Reconciliation
• Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare documents for audits

• Run weekly QuickBooks reports
• Assist in auditing tax exempt status and filing sales taxes
• Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
• Communicate professionally including use of Microsoft Teams virtual meetings with Accounting Firm, internal colleagues, customers and if needed auditors
• Reports to the Controller and works to continue improving financial processes
• Assist with adhoc projects as necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Similar experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role in accounting with 2-3 years of experience
• Highly proficient use of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Word and Excel including pivot tables (Must have 5 years of experience with QuickBooks)

• Ability to work well within spreadsheets and different databases
• Ability to communicate internally and externally with professional demeanor
• Excellent math skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
