Dr. Carter Reeves & Associates is Hiring a Dental Assistant - $20-$30/hour Near Germantown, MD

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists in all surgical, orthodontic, and general dentistry procedures
  • Assist dentists in updating charting, entering treatment plans, and assisting with all computer tasks and chart notes
  • Direct patients and maintain timely schedule
  • Pull up patient dental and relevant medical history for dentist to refer to during examination and be a part of conversation
  • Provide patient care and support
  • Take digital radiographs (X-Rays), Kodak sensors
  • Take digital impressions for fabrication of dental appliances using itero scanner
  • Sterilize and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment
  • Keep operatories and sterile clean and organized
  • Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits

Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience performing dental assistance
  • X-Ray Certification: Meet all local and state requirements to operate radiography equipment
  • Current certification in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) preferred
  • Invisalign itero scanning experience preferred
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Compassionate and caring of patients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication note-taking skills-- ability to write notes from doctor chairside as we use the isolite system for 95% of all patients
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication
  • Must take pride in work and have a strong sense of /ownership of office
  • Excellent organization skills-- ie: keeps rooms/sterile clean organized
  • Outgoing and patient friendly
  • Proactive nature, not reactive-- ie: checking for lab cases * in advance*

Duties for our Dental Assistant (DA) Include:

  • Welcome patients in the dental office
  • Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry

***Create your own schedule! M-F only, no weekends or late nights.
