Summary: The purpose of the Account Executive Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Account Executive to increase DPI sales by facilitating, prospecting, and marketing perishable and dry products to customer buyers and managers. This includes performing research activities, compiling reports and data for the Account Executive to analyze and review, assembling sample bags, coordinating schedules and appointments, calendaring meetings, preparing presentations and other miscellaneous office support duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support the Account Executive by setting appointments and meetings; compiling data and reports for analysis; communicating with clients and vendors/brokers. Assemble sample bags for Account Executives. Operate a computer for research, report documentation, e-mail correspondence, presentation development and to provide Account Executives with other administrative support. Correspond with customer and vendors/brokers to coordinate meetings, promotional events and service provision to customers to increase sales at customer sites. Complete various paperwork and reports, including new item, promotional and distribution forms accurately and timely; prepares and maintains demonstration and advertising support schedules and contracts. Other Duties and Responsibilities: May perform other duties as needed in order to assist with DPI operations.Maintain clean work environment, may include picking up trash or cleaning spills. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2 years of college is preferred. Prior office assistant experience is preferred. The employee must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point). The employee must be proficient in written and verbal communication in English and have sufficient math skills to perform basic data analysis. Work Environment: The work environment is indoors in a professional office environment. The floor surfaces are carpeted in office areas and conference rooms with vinyl floor covering typical in hallways, break rooms and computer rooms. Work Hours: The work schedule is 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Time of initial start may vary, with work hours typically 8am-5pm. Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs. The employee may be required to work overtime and holidays or weekends. Physical and Mental Demands: Sedentary. Exerting up to 10 of force occasionally and/or greater than a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Must know and follow proper office and safety protocols. Apply good knowledge of customer requirements, vendor and broker services and product knowledge to promote sales in customer site and locations. Able to perform mathematic functions and analyses and use writing skills to accomplish designated Assistant Account Executive functions and support the Account Executive.
