Create Music Group is Hiring a Music Publishing Assistant Near Los Angeles, CA
Create Music Group is an LA-based digital music company that provides artists and labels with distribution, rights management, and creative services. We monetize billions of monthly music streams and have collected over millions in previously unclaimed revenue for artists and labels. Clients include Ice Spice, Future, JLo, City Girls, Slander, Marshmello, Don Diablo, Trippie Redd, Migos, and more.
SUMMARY:
The Publishing Assistant will be responsible for assisting with maintaining metadata and ensuring proper work registrations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work/asset onboarding and registration maintenance for a specific set of writers
- Maintain and update metadata in internal database
- Resolve claim and asset disputes
- Complete registrations with collection societies
- Research catalogs, song histories, credits, and record information
- Occasional note taking and other administrative tasks as assigned by the team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications or a related field
- 1 year of experience in music publishing administration at a music publishing company or record label
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Previous experience working with collections societies (ASCAP, BMI, Harry Fox, etc.) preferred
- Previous experience with data management systems preferred
- Previous with Label Engine or other music distribution services (Distrokid, Tunecore, CD Baby, etc) preferred
PAY SCALE:
- $18.00 - $19.00/hour
