Overview

Established in 1997 as a Dowa Japan business unit, Dowa THT America, Inc. provides the customer a state of the art heat treatment environment, with fully automated carburizing and nitriding furnaces. Dowa's treated automotive parts are tested daily in our quality laboratory to ensure specified hardness requirements and the guarantee of consistent results.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of industrial heat treating furnaces, vacuum washers, Caubet coating lines, and general building maintenance. This position is the lead role for three maintenance technician. Overtime should be expected. Duties include:

• machine troubleshooting
• metal fabrication/welding
• pipe fitting
  • assists with the scheduling, repair, and maintenance of all production equipment.
  • ensure monitoring, documentation, tracking and maintenance of the spare parts inventory.
  • assists in evaluating the functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment; maintain the building structure and grounds; communicate repair needs accordingly and initiate a plan for remediation.
  • works with the E-Maintenance system, assigning tasks to the maintenance team.
  • works with related vendor relationships.
  • partners with Production Supervisors and the quality department to identify and assess equipment problems.
  • follows all safety guidelines.

Hours are day shift, but may will evening or weekend as overtime.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• A high school education or equivalent.
• Basic math comprehension skills.
• Strong mechanical background and ability.
• Ability and willingness to work OT and weekends, as needed.
• Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting, repetitive motion bending and stretching, and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, with assistance.
• Minimal electrical knowledge required.
• A minimum of 5 years maintenance experience with machinery.
