Douglass Community Services is Hiring a Center Manager Near New London, MO

How you will make an impact:

As the Center Manager, you are responsible for the successful delivery of program services that empowers families to increase self-reliance and children’s ongoing progress. Overseeing the day-today operations of the center while providing leadership and reflective supervision of staff that promotes professional growth and development.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage center operations and managerial oversight.
  • Provide a safe and healthy learning environment with effective supervised exploration that supports children and families’ growth and learning.
  • Maintain full enrollment through coordination of ongoing recruitment, accurate eligibility, timely selection of enrollments, appropriate child/staff ratio and equal distribution of caseloads, and average daily attendance.
  • Ensures relationship based consultation and collaboration with families and local agencies. Facilitates agency and center related advocacy related to community issues affecting the well-being of families. 
  • Complete required documentation, program planning, monitoring, and evaluation to track program progress to meet established outcome measurements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An Associates Degree with a major in Social Services, Education, or related field; Bachelors Degree Preferred.
  • Three years experience in the early childhood field; plus previous supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Computer skills with basic knowledge using email, word processing, and data entry software applications.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal context, plan and organize work, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality is required to successfully fulfill this job’s responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Obtain FDC credentialing during the first cohort offered following hire date.
  • Class E Chauffeur’s License upon hire.
  • Complete training and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently plan and organize work, take initiative, make independent judgments, promote teamwork, and maintain confidentiality.

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Starting Salary (Exempt): $17.49 with Associates Degree $17.69 with Bachelors Degree
