Strategic Partnership Manager
Reports to: VP of Programming & Impact
Location: DoSomething.org is headquartered in New York City with a hybrid and remote work culture. Preferably, candidates will be based in the New York City Metro area, but candidates in other locations within the U.S will be considered.

We have mobilized millions of DoSomething.org members to clothe young people in homeless shelters, clean up 3.7 million cigarette butts from the streets, run the largest youth-led sports equipment drive, and registered over 350,000 young people to vote since 2018!

THE POSITION
DoSomething.org seeks a collaborative, engaging, and innovative Strategic Partnership Manager to cultivate and manage DoSomething’s external relationships.
Reporting to the Vice President of Programming & Impact, the Strategic Partnership Manager contributes to DoSomething’s mission and vision by devising the strategies and tactics to build meaningful partnerships with community partners and young people. This role requires the innate ability to forecast the needs of current stakeholders in an effort to identify, cultivate and steward relationships, and work cross-functionally with multiple departments to coordinate, support or plan partner events and engagements.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Program Management and Administration
- Research, develop, and lead the implementation of a comprehensive partnership program that promotes the expansion of DoSomething’s youth and stakeholder relationships
- Collaborate across departments to develop and strategize partnership building activities to ensure DS maximizes opportunities for outreach and awareness
- Develop a strategy to increase network and partner relationships
- Serve as a company representative for external conferences, workshops, meetings, and network events
- Develop Go-To-Market strategy and partnership stewardship plans for partners.
- Serve as project manager in collaboration with DS teams and partners to develop and manage workshops and networking events
- Support with record keeping of meeting discussions with new and prospective partners
- Determine, in collaboration with the VP, Programming and Impact, objectives and activities to effectively measure success of each partnership
Partnership Development
- Develop, in collaboration with Member Engagement Manager, youth engagement opportunities and raise awareness of DoSomething’s mission
- Establish and maintain relationships with government officials, schools, partners, and youth-facing organizations to advance program impact
- Forecast current stakeholder needs to strengthen partner relationships
- Manage the partnership lifecycle from concept, implementation, and maintenance
- Lead and facilitate strategic partnership meetings
Research and Analytical Support
- Conduct market study and research to identify opportunities for new partnerships
- Administer partnership surveys and evaluations to determine partner needs and oversee the implementation of those needs
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- You have a passion for and experience in coalition building, community organizing, and relationship management
- You are a people-focused, relationship manager
- You prioritize projects and have exceptional time management skills
- You are comfortable creating and delivering presentations to new and existing partners
- You have 2 years of project and/or program management experience
- You have 2 years of community organizing with the successful engagement of participants and targeted audience, including public officials, experience
- You have strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- You have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- You have excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- You foster an entrepreneurial mindset and culture within an organization
- You are a results-oriented and strategic thinker

- You believe in young people and are curious about the needs and wants of young people across the spectrum of identity and difference. You believe their involvement in civic engagement, democracy, human services, etc. has the power to change young people, their communities, and the world!
Compensation: $60-65K

Is your data secure?
- JazzHR maintains secure job board pages. Job boards will default to HTTPS. Additionally, if we were to terminate our contract with JazzHR our candidate data is deleted from JazzHR’s systems in accordance with JazzHR’s Terms of Service.
