Job Title: Referral Coordinator / Check-Out
SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities of the Referral Coordinator and Check-Out position is to collect any outstanding balances or monies due, schedule follow-up appointments after preliminary treatment at the clinic while verifying insurance authorization required for appointments, providing orders, authorizations/referrals, and visit summary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least one year of Medical Office or Insurance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and specified medical software.
Equipment Operated:
Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, scanners, printers and telephones.
