About the Team

DoorDash is building innovative kitchen formats that cater to the on-demand economy. These kitchens are tailored to off-premise (delivery, catering, pick-up, etc) with a minimum storefront. DoorDash Kitchens enable Merchants to expand their geographic footprint and give customers instant access to exciting new restaurants that were previously too far away.

About the Role

You will lead the team cooking multiple culinary concepts from a DoorDash operated kitchen. You will oversee inventory, ordering, scheduling the culinary team and ensuring that food orders are cooked and fulfilled to the highest standard..Accountable for maintaining peak efficiency and prompt service times by owning a portfolio of initiatives from end-to-end.

• People Management
  • Accountable for maintaining a full team with 100% uptime and maintaining a labor budget. Provide leadership and direction in the development, execution and measurement of performance standards.
• Strategic Planning
  • Establish business plans by tracking emerging industry trends and meet financial objectives by controlling purchases and inventory and reducing waste.
• Inventory 
  • Responsible for minimizing OOS and maintaining food cost.
• Process Development
  • Maintain operations by creating policies and SOPs around safety, sanitation, storage and prep, aiming for consistent productivity and quality.
• Discipline Management
  • Responsible for enacting disciplinary processes according to company policy when necessary.

• You have 7 years cooking and managing in a high volume kitchen environment including fast-casual, QSR, and from-scratch restaurants
• You 5 years of experience supervising others in a senior leadership role
• You have a proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills
• You have experience managing to results including food cost and labor cost goals
• You have a ServeSafe Managers License and have meticulous cleanliness standards
