Responsibilities

Through cold-calls and walking the market and competitive properties, the Associate Broker will develop a client base that generates a qualified sustainable number of referral leads that produce income for the Company, Team and the Associate. The Associate Broker will assist in carrying out the policies and procedures surrounding the day-to-day functions of the Commercial Leasing department, with a particular focus on developing a broad and qualified clientele base.

Key Responsibilities of the Associate Broker include:

  • Prospect for local, regional and national tenants
  • Assist in marketing assigned Office, Medical Office and Industrial properties and ensure accurate and timely updates to all marketing collateral and websites; Utilize marketing websites to advertise and promote properties to the brokerage community
  • Prepare responses to RFPs and collaborate with Property Managers to prepare quarterly leasing reports
  • Conduct local and sub-market analysis of existing inventory on competitive properties
  • Maintain ongoing communication with tenants, landlords, and clients
  • During tours, be cognizant of any maintenance repairs, lighting, and overall appearances of the properties to ensure accurate listings

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • At least one year of experience working in real estate, sales, research, or related field
  • A current Maryland Real Estate Salesperson license; and be able to secure a DC Real Estate license within one year of service. 
  • Expert technical knowledge of Real Estate software programs, including Costar
  • High-level analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication (written/presentation/interpersonal) and customer service
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to handle sensitive and confidential information
