Dogwood Industries seeks a qualified accountant to join our growing manufacturing company and expand the capacity of our financial team. Is attention to detail and ownership of the process a priority for you? Are you willing to be engaged with the how and the why and see how your role impacts the company’s success? Are you reliable and dependable? The successful candidate will be able to take ownership of multiple functions and provide support where needed. Payroll processing, credit card data entry and reconciliation, A/P and job cost accounting will be regular functions for this position.

Requirements

Job Requirements and Experience:

• 2- or 4-year degree in accounting or related field.
• 2 years of accounting experience through job history—experience in the manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
• Experience generating reports and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Proficiency with multiple accounting functions to include P/R, A/P, A/R, general ledger, and job costing.
• Proficiency with multi-function accounting software—Foundation or similar is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and other programs offered in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Adobe Acrobat software.
• Excellent communication in English with the ability to express ideas, collaborate with team members and process directives, in both oral and written communication.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

This position requires light physical activity in an office environment. To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly seated at a computer desk with the option to stand, is utilizing the telephone frequently, and participating in meetings with colleagues. There are steps in the office.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 annually, DOE.
