About our Client:
We are looking a candidate for a client in the manufacturer of consumer goods industry. The company is based in Miami, FL; and is well known for its products, especially for its extended line of wellness and nutrition, vitamins, body care, and cosmetics products. Now our client is looking for a Cook that will help create edibles and maintain the production kitchen running in a perfect way.

Job Summary:

As an Edible Production Cook you will be responsible for prepare and cook all recipes in our Lab in a sanitary and timely manner. You will help maintain and ensure compliance with our production and Lab schedule, while safely and efficiently using equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding and knowledge of how to use and maintain all kitchen equipment, such as large mixers, ovens, and large pots, in a safe and proficient manner according to standards, guidelines, and instructions.
  • Strictly follow the guidelines and measurements for all recipes.
  • Prepare all recipes in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the work area.
  • Inspect and clean edible preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Ensure freshness of all ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
  • Oversee weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies.
  • Ensure all ingredients are stored and using in the correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, refrigerators, etc.
  • Maintain relevant training as new recipes are introduced. 
Qualifications:
  • Previous cooking experience is required.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of the fast dynamic of a kitchen.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and coworkers.
  • Must enjoy working with a team and having a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to accurately follow recipes and measurements.
  • Open to becoming trained on various activities, machines, and systems.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Detailed oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality and sanitation.
  • Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.
