Responsible for the Ensure delivery of all IT solutions, projects, and services to the assigned business units in a timely and cost-effective manner, seeking to leverage dnata Group solutions and services where possible. Develop the IT program of work in line with dnata Catering and onednata Group’s overall IT strategy keeping in mind future growth, technology innovation opportunities, and using IT to improve integration in our business. The role manages the overall relationships with business stakeholders, establishing an effective and consistent IT customer experience through identifying business needs and leading improvements across all of IT.

You Will

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

IT Solution & Application Delivery

  • Establish an appropriate and cost-effective localized IT delivery strategy to support the business strategy, ensuring the implementation of the localized IT strategy aligns to the group’s strategic mandate.
  • Ensure delivery of the IT work program for business units.
  • Identify business performance focus areas to ensure the business is supported in creating and sustaining a competitive advantage and IT becomes a proactive and innovative business enabler.
  • Constantly seek and suggest areas of improvement and innovation through more effective use of IT both locally and globally, ensuring value-adding opportunities are presented to the business.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of all IT systems and services into the business ensuring that relevant and achievable service levels are agreed with the business. Ensure that that the performance against service level objectives is reviewed with the business and escalations are managed.
  • Apply a business orientation approach and provide input in areas of partner and supplier management, risk management, service management, software engineering and operations, IT strategy, and architecture.
  • Direct effective delivery of infrastructure and systems across networks, server platforms, storage, backup, security, applications, disaster recovery systems, and end-user device management whilst adhering to group standards and frameworks as required.
  • Maintain a focus on integrating thing business via delivery of effective IT solutions.

Program & Project Management

  • Drive and deliver the annual work program and financial management of the IT budgets for the business area, ensuring it aligns with and supports business strategy, based on customer needs. Negotiate and agree the work program with senior business stakeholders, ensuring it remains in line with the overall IT Strategy and guidelines within the Portfolio under Management.
  • Work with applications and platform delivery to ensure business cases are reviewed to ensure that they are cost-effective and that their return on investment can be realized.
  • Ensure projects are approved and initiated, planned, and delivered within agreed cost and timescales, in accordance with global IT standards, dnata global PMO framework, and industry best practice
  • Provide change management expertise throughout the project delivery life cycle
  • Ensure projects and work programs are initiated and risks controlled/managed

ERP

  • Lead the completion of the business ERP system implementation
  • Review current status, design a plan for implementation and deliver according to agreed timeframes
  • Ensure all areas of the business are engaged and managed throughout the project
  • Apply the required change management expertise to ensure the project is a success

Stakeholder engagement

  • Single point of accountability for all IT-related matters to the assigned business units.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior business managers through regular direct contact.
  • Influence senior business managers on IT investment decisions to meet their business needs within a Group perspective.Promote close collaboration within the local IT department, with the business, with Emirates Group, and with other dnata businesses be they physical or virtual teams.

Leadership

  • Represent IT in the senior management team of the assigned business units.
  • Motivate and inspire team members by creating an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
  • Role model dnata catering values: safety and security, performance-driven, delighting customers, imagination, respect, and service excellence.
  • Contribute to a safety-first environment and work within Workplace Health and Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.

Other

  • Have a complete understanding of and adhere to dnata catering policies and procedures.
  • Carry out additional duties as may be reasonably requested by Senior Management

You Have

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role
  • Educational qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science / Engineering, and related qualifications
  • 5 to 10 years of IT management experience, ideally within a high volume or manufacturing environment
  • Experience in leading delivery of business IT solutions in the travel & transportation industry is of advantage
  • Major account experience gained in both multinational and multi-cultural environments would be an added benefit

  • Intellectual/Social Demands:While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including the following: simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in a leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in the prescribed time frame. This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, and being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.
  • Physical Demands:While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such as telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc.; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery.
  • Work Environment:The essential functions of this position are performed indoors.
