About the Opportunity

Digital Management, LLC (DMI) is seeking a full-time Product Owner (SAP Commerce).

Job Description:

General Purpose: The Digital Product Owner will be responsible for:

  • Understanding existing business processes & technology products and translating those into system requirements
  • Managing a well groomed product backlog by working with technology and business teams to define features, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Ensuring that efforts are continually on the highest value items and collaborating with the development team for user acceptance testing

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Maintain a healthy, groomed product backlog, with well-defined acceptance criteria
  • Translate product features into product epics with user stories that are appropriately sized, include clear and specific acceptance criteria and take into account technical and business dependencies
  • Collaborate with design, business and technical team members to identify interdependencies & define and document requirements that adhere to technical constraints
  • Lead scrum ceremonies such as grooming, story pointing, sprint planning and demos
  • Work with the scrum team to clarify stories as necessary
  • Prepare product release documentation for features for business stakeholders
  • Create process flows/workflows and ensure that the program document repository is kept updated
  • Drive functional validation and end user acceptance for enhancements
  • Coordinate resolution of dependencies across cross functional teams
  • Anticipate upstream and downstream impacts of the project and work with business groups to adjust business tools and practices in order to support new features & functionality

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience as a business analyst or a product owner in e-commerce projects/programs
  • 2 years Experience in SAP Commerce ecommerce application with understanding of all the backoffice functions
  • 2 Start to End SAP Commerce Implementation experience involving all functional, integration and backoffice areas
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written) and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of SCRUM Agile Methodology
  • Strong proficiency with collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence.
  • Ability to understand complex business problems and interpret business and technical requirements
  • Strong ability to execute multiple projects from requirements gathering to UAT and meet project deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years’ experience as a business analyst or a product owner in e-commerce projects/programs
