Diversified Conveyors International, LLC is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Memphis, TN

Description

The core purpose of the Electrical Estimator is to create timely and accurate estimates. The Electrical Estimator will work within the System Solutions Team (SST) taking direction at the team level from the Pre-Construction Project Manager (PPM) and report to the Estimating Manager to fulfill his/her job duties. This staff-level position will strive to support all staff and management to meet internal and external deliverables. 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Supports the estimating effort as part of a System Solutions Team within the System Solutions Group. 
  2. Prepare accurate internal estimates of the costs for the electrical installation work in alignment with the client’s RFP (Request for Proposal). 
  3. Read, understand, and interpret drawings, job specifications, scope of work (SOW), and local codes for the electrical installation. 
  4. Actively participate in project capture meetings such as Bid Strategy, Proposal Kick-off, Proposal Status Meetings, subcontractor meetings, and estimate review meetings. 
  5. Provide input to project schedules with electrical installation tasks and durations. 
  6. Identify and evaluate electrical suppliers and specialist subcontractors for the project. 
  7. Prepare RFP packages for these same electrical suppliers. 
  8. Demonstrate understanding of electrical installation project requirements and effectively communicate project needs to the SST. 
  9. Provide input on electrical installation work items and their duration for the proposed project schedule. 
  10. Accurately calculate materials and installation time for each job estimate. 
  11. Create and use Excel spreadsheets to aid in estimating purposes. 
  12. Support the Pre-Construction Project Manager,?SST, and work with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to obtain current pricing, sourcing, lead time, etc. 
  13. Consistently provide excellent customer service with all external stakeholders and internal team members. 
  14. Provides viable creative solutions to increase project profitability. 
  15. Provide support to the PPM in creating a professional proposal that clearly communicates the SOW, price, and proposed schedule.? 
  16. Strives to help the organization deliver successful projects (Safety, Timeliness, Execution, Quality, Profitability). 
  17. Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential. 
  18. Seeks continued education by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. 
  19. Maintain flexibility and strive to complete all other requests as directed by management. 
  20. Align with DCI’s mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives. 

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Experience with estimating electrical installation projects 
  • Experience with high voltage (480VAC) and low voltage (controls) wiring 
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems 
  • Conveyor experience is preferred but not required. 
  • At least three years’ work experience as an Electrical Estimator working on medium to large projects 
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel 
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
