ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: Responsible for the overall financial accounting and record maintenance of all facility accounting. Provide direct support to the Director for successful implementation of new systems and training programs. Act as liaison between the facilities, the facility accounting department and management for accounting issues. Maintain overall supervision, training and review of assigned accountants. Present for work in a timely manner, groomed professionally in accordance with Company standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Oversee all facility accounting functions related to financial statement preparation and accounts payable processing.• Financial Statement Review• Balance Sheet Reconciliation• Bank Account Reconciliation• Analysis of Balance Sheet & Expense Accounts• Asset/Depreciation Schedules• Audit Liaison for Internal & External Auditors
2. Establish facility and corporate training programs, policy and procedure, implement system changes.3. Oversee completion of accounting projects as needed4. Oversee and ensure all company and department deadlines are meet5. Ensure facility accounting records are properly maintained and archived

Working Conditions: Work conducted inside an office. Physical Effort:Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, stoop and stand during the workday. Must be able to lift, stoop and carry small equipment items and supplies weighing up to 25 lbs.
Sensory Attention:Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately in order to meet the stated requirements of the position.
Mental Stress:Must be able to work under a certain amount of stress during peak deadline periods and as project demand.
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance2. Five to seven years or more of specific general ledger accounting experience, preferably in long term care.3. Proven ability to implement training programs, establish policy and procedure, organize and staff accounting department to meet department and company deadlines.4. Exhibit ability to be resourceful when considering use of personnel, company time and materials.5. Must be flexible, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks/projects, able to work in a fast paced environment.6. Supervisory experience.7. Possess excellent written/oral communication and analytical skills.8. Possess organization and problem solving skills to deal with technical accounting issues as well as personnel issues.9. Working knowledge of computerized accounting and communication software.10. Ability to travel to off-site locations as needed.
