**Lead Bartender:**

In this role, you will be tasked with leading the creation and growth of the bar and craft cocktail program. You will train a team of bar staff to create unique cocktails in an approachable and welcoming environment. To be successful, you will need to be a creative thinker who is passionate about all things craft cocktail, and who is always up for educating yourself and expanding your knowledge and expertise in the industry.

**Responsibilities:**

Think outside of the box to create a unique and creative craft cocktail program

Ensure quality control of both design and flavor profiles

Train bar staff to replicate signature drinks

Be an ambassador of The Wharf and The Madison Beach Hotel brand

Lead team members on effective methods, operations, and procedures in running a profitable and successful bar and lounge.

In conjunction with management establish and enforce service, and productivity standards for a safe, high-quality environment dedicated to customer service.

Assists management in developing cocktails, wine lists, beer lists, and maintaining and improving the overall beverage program.

Models and trains all standards of quality and production related to bar/lounge staff. Ensures proper par levels and inventories are maintained.

Strong presentation skills with extensive knowledge in spirits, beer, and wine

Strong working knowledge of regional cuisine and food preparation techniques

Highly resourceful, flexible, and creative in solving problems.

Ability to multi-task and execute with a high level of quality and accuracy.

Strong inter-personal and organizational skills.

Ability and desire to adapt quickly to change.

Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.

Ability to describe all beverage items, menu items, prices, and methods of preparation.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages.

Communicate effectively with management regarding guest issues, supply levels, etc.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful environment.

Ability to work a varied & flexible schedule that regularly includes weekends and holidays

**Education**:

* High School diploma or equivalent required

* Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in related field (i.e.: Hotel Management, Business Management, Marketing) preferred.

* TIPS Certification required, TIPS proctor preferred or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days

* Servsafe Food Handlers Card preferred

**Experience**:

* Required: minimum of five (5) years of full time Bartender experience

* Preferred: minimum of (2) years supervisory experience in food & beverage operations in conjunction with bartending experience
