Responsibilities

Duties to include, but not limited to:

Shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English clearly and effectively enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other healthcare providers.Demonstrate knowledge required to operate intravenous (VI) pimps, and high pressure dye, injector pump and to interpret proper settings as directed by the radiologist. Required to know how to recognize, understand, and correct abnormal conditions and alarms produced by this equipment.Demonstrate knowledge of basic nursing practices related to IR, such as administration of oxygen and performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.Understand and operate state of the art Digital Subtraction Angiography equipment, stationary and portable x-ray machines.Assists the physician (radiologist) in conducting highly specialized diagnostic examinations in IR Clinic.

Qualifications

Graduation from an Radiology Technologist education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).BLS Certified-American Heart or American Red Cross.A minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiology.
