The Opportunity

DiStefano Brothers Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to help continue our team’s success as a leader in the local design-build industry.

As a Construction Project Manager at DiStefano Brothers, you will be overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion. You will monitor every step of the process, which includes managing all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations and environmental standards. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with engineers, architects and construction professionals
  • Developing, organizing and reviewing building plans
  • Interviewing, selecting, and preparing contracts for subcontractors for projects
  • Formulating cost estimates based on equipment, materials and labor requirements
  • Preparing and adhering to budgets, cost estimates, schedules and timelines 
  • Ensuring that construction projects meet environmental, safety, structural, zoning and aesthetic standards
  • Determining and scheduling different stages of the building process, in accordance to the client's needs
  • Ensuring compliance of safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
  • Monitoring the progress of projects to ascertain whether phases of the construction process are in compliance with building plans and project deadlines
  • After building completion, project managers may provide additional services for expansion and relocation projects

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Technology or related field
  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years of Construction Project Management experience
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate multiple projects
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Strong literacy of MS Word, Excel, Google Workspace
  • Experience with CoConstruct, Procore, or BuilderTrend a plus 

Skills and Relevant Work Experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to delegate work
  • Outstanding time management skills, ability to estimate work effort and time needed for various construction jobs
  • Excellent technical skills and understanding of construction methods, contracts and blueprints
