Discovery Builders is seeking a Construction Technology Research and Development Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction and knowledge of how construction technologies and offsite prefabrication accelerate construction and reduce costs. You must have attention to detail, a curious mindset, and a proactive approach. Experience with modular construction is a big plus. The person will explore innovative construction methods in collaboration with each of our global properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with the full design, fabrication, and building process.
- Discover, audit, evaluate, and recommend various technologies for offsite prefabrication companies.
- Establish workflows, cost models, and schedules to validate time and cost savings.
- Work with construction teams in partnership with technology resources.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree desired in related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of how construction technologies and offsite prefacbrication accelerate construction and reduce costs.
- Experience with modular construction preferred.
- Experience with structural engineering.
- Software Experience: Construction BIM Revit Modeling Preferred, Procore Preferred
- Ability to travel 50-75% of the time depending on location.
