Summary
We are looking for energetic individuals who are team oriented, enjoy working with young children, and have a desire to help children learn grow in a developmentally appropriate atmosphere! Our staff members must be dedicated to taking care of and instructing infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children, while incorporating activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Through the use of the HiMama child care app, we have access to a digital curriculum so the lessons are just a click away!
Duties
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Provide a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and experimentation for children of varying ability levels.
  • Evaluate and assess individual child progress using curriculum assessment tools and anecdotal notes. These can be entered simply efficiently in the child care app!
  • Follow the established discipline procedures for the age group.
  • Develop a working relationship with families by frequent communications (personal conversation or written messages/notes via HiMama - child care app).
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be on time and present with the children in your care.
  • Complete required coursework including CPR.
  • Complete required annual continuing education (early childhood related).
  • Interact with colleagues, families, and center visitors in a pleasant, professional manner.
Nice To Haves
  • Experience in child care.
  • Some post high school courses in early childhood.
