Summary of Job:

The Controller will be responsible for the company’s accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. This position will be based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain system of controls over accounting transactions
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department
• Manage accounting staff and performance results
• Prepare and issue timely and complete financial statements on a monthly basis
• Prepare account reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Ensure timely payment of accounts payable
• Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable
• Ensure timely processing and payment of payroll
• Perform general ledger accounting entries and maintain the chart of accounts
• Integrate financial systems and related processes/controls for acquired businesses
• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
• Coordinate and direct the annual financial statement audit
• Administer and manage company cash accounts
• Prepare monthly compliance reporting for bank
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes and perform variance analysis
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses
• Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Other duties as assigned 

Required Education, Knowledge and Special Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentration in accounting or finance
• 5 years of experience in accounting at for-profit companies
• 5 years of experience managing and developing staff
• Thorough understanding of U.S. based generally accepted accounting principles
• 2 years of experience with international accounting
• Self-starter able to prioritize and manage many competing priorities
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

• MBA or CPA preferred
• Prior experience with NetSuite and Quickbooks
• Prior experience with Chargify or equivalent subscription billing system
• Prior experience with SAAS and Subscription based billing
• Prior experience in the pharmacy industry
• Prior experience with private equity, as well as M&A activity
• Minimal travel may be required - potentially international travel
