Be the keeper of our Produce kingdom.

• Assist with stocking, display, truck unloading, quality control and inventory 
• Greet customers and share your knowledge of the department’s vast selection of items
• Use suggestive selling techniques to promote products
• Operate and maintain department equipment such as code gun, wrapper, scale, pallet jack and baler
• Ensure that our beautiful Produce department is well-stocked and looks showroom-worthy—after all, it’s Dierbergs, and our customers expect the very best

What you need to succeed

• An approachable, friendly personality to provide the level of service that Dierbergs customers have come to expect
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work in varied temperature-controlled environments (36-degree cooler and 45-degree prep area). This position involves repeated heavy lifting. 
• Ability to follow safe food-handling guidelines and keep your work area safe and clean using company-approved equipment
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Lifting & Carrying - Up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Pushing & Pulling- Up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally
• Occasional - Sit, kneel, stoop, squat, climb, overhead reach & power grip
• Frequent - Stand, walk, head turn, side reach, grasp, pinch, finger manipulation & feel
