Job Overview

DiD is seeking a UX/UI Designer who has a strong attention to detail and enjoys continual learning and solving problems. In this role, you’ll be responsible for working with internal teams across the agency, establishing strong blueprints for digital projects in the form of site maps, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Opportunities in strategy, interfacing with developers, and quality checks of our final products also exist. This role reports to the Senior Director of UX/UI Design within our Technology Department. Responsibilities

  • Identifies opportunities to improve or create a better user experience, proposes solutions, recommends implementations, and helps execute designs 
  • Hands-on ability to communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs
  • Develops and maintains user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, specifications, and UI element style guides as needed 
  • Conducts research and thinks critically to reach solutions and solve UX-related problems 
  • Excellent at design execution of color theory, spacial relationships, typography, and composition as it relates to user interface design 
  • Understands usability research and information architecture 
  • Applies technical skills; working knowledge of HTML & CSS 
  • Provide internal teams with relevant best practices informed by user experience knowledge and research 
  • Support internal teams during project development phase with impromptu reviews as requested 
  • Collaborate with creative design teams in development of UI style guides and interaction design requirements 
  • Collaborate with creative design teams in capturing a digital solution’s look & feel, ensuring usability best practices 
  • Delight clients with thoughtful solutions 
  • Adhere to project scope, budget and timeline, while delivering high quality work 
  • Ensure designs meet stated objectives and goals 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education, or equivalent experience
    • Bonus: Nielsen Norman Group certification 
  • 1 year of related design experience 
  • 2-3 years of experience working in an agency preferred 
  • Bonus: experience in the healthcare space 
  • Required: Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud (XD, InDesign) software knowledge 
  • Preferred: Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) software knowledge 
  • Bonus: Zeplin, InVision, Figma, Axure software knowledge 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Exceptional portfolio and case studies 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment, as well as independently 
  • Demonstrated initiative as a self-starter
