Summary:

Diakont is seeking a Business Administrator with exceptional potential, to join our Advanced Technologies group. This is a key role, responsible for conducting daily administrative duties and for supporting staff in various day-to-day activities. We are seeking candidates that are highly driven, goal-oriented, and interested in growing within our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Answer multi-line telephone system, provide information to callers, or route calls to the appropriate individual.
  • Meet and greet visitors and coordinate meeting amenities.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying.
  • Distribute incoming mail and route deliveries.
  • Update and improve instructions and policies to ensure standard operating procedures are consistent and concise.
  • Maintain and update templates and additional documentation as required.
  • Assist with order entry and fulfillment.
  • Research and coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing products and projects.
  • Maintain responsibility for daily up-keep of office and for stocking of office supplies, while adhering to allocated budgets.
  • Compile strategic performance reports from multiple business units.
  • Perform basic HR functions.
  • Assist in the coordination of company activities and projects.
  • Provide support to the Operations Manager and staff with purchase requests and other related duties.
  • Perform other activities as directed.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or greater), or related experience working in a corporate environment (minimum 3 years).
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Exceptional telephone etiquette and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and experience using an ERP system (not required but a plus).
  • Knowledge of inventory and background in shipping (domestic and international) is a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
  • Strong team player and who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated with an excellent team and interpersonal skills.
  • Must exhibit strong prioritizing and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Decisive and self-starting attitude with energy and motivation to be effective in a demanding environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
