DFCU Financial is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Dearborn, MI

The Opportunity: We are seeking a full time Facilities Technician for the Metro Detroit area. In this role, qualified candidates will complete work orders, Facilities & Services project tasks and management requests as assigned. Perform basic preventative maintenance and installation to support the daily operations of the department. Maintain the good working condition, cleanliness, and positive appearance of assigned DFCU Financial locations, vehicles, and equipment. What You’ll Do: Perform basic building services tasks to include, but not limited to, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, and furniture/equipment repair. Perform small drywall patches, painting, small flooring installations, and systems furniture assembly support. Move furniture, equipment, and materials. Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of assigned locations as a supplement to janitorial contractors, including cleaning of parking lots, landscaping, ATMs, and drive-up equipment. Support and adhere to established security program for all locations; may open and close headquarters. Complete errands and tasks as requested by management. Provide vendors with building access during and outside of business hours and monitor their performance. Transport various materials (e.g., department mail, packages to and from vendors, purchase materials/items, etc.). What You'll Need: High school diploma or equivalent. One year experience in a maintenance or construction role or equivalent, preferred. Ability to perform basic painting, carpentry, plumbing, installations, and equipment repairs. Ability to read and apply instructions and utilize hand/power tools. Ability to move up to 80 lbs. multiple times. Travel between locations required; use of personal vehicle may be required. Compliance with DFCU Financial vehicle policy and procedures. Prolonged periods of standing and repetitive lifting. Exposure to inclement weather. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and prioritize requests. Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude. Evening, weekend, holiday and overtime hours, as required.
