STATISTICAL PROGRAMMER

DFnet provides clinical data management, biostatistics, and software development services for industry, non-profit, and academic organizations worldwide. Our focus is global health. In our supporting role, we are fortunate to work with some of the world’s top research scientists who have dedicated their lives to challenging global health issues. We recently began managing and analyzing data for COVID-19 Trials.

DFnet is seeking a Statistical Programmer with experience in SAS programming to support our growing company. The ideal candidate has an advanced degree related to Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, or a scientific, analytic or health field. He or she will be committed to high quality standards and ensuring DFnet leverages industry best-practices in clinical data management and CDISC solutions to provide accurate and meaningful results to our clients.

The individual will be allowed to work remotely anywhere in the United States.

Summary

Collaborates on the analysis, interpretation and communication of clinical trials by primarily creating statistical programs focused on data analysis and reporting. Responsible for supporting the analysis of data gathered during the clinical trials, including the tabulation of data and study findings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, evaluate and modify SAS programs in Linux to analyze and evaluate clinical data.
  • Recognize inconsistencies and initiate resolution of data problems.
  • Manage client relationships and coordinate statistical programming to meet client’s needs.
  • Implement statistical analysis plans designed to meet project and protocol deadlines.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, clinical management, subcommittees and project teams as needed.
  • Write requirements and specifications, understand study level documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with Data Managers, Biostatisticians, and other Statistical Programmers to meet project deliverables and timelines for clinical data reporting.
  • Ensure completeness, correctness and consistency of clinical data and data structure.
  • Use internal standards and programs to automate standard listings, edit checks and reports.
  • Contribute to the monitoring of data quality during study conduct, providing information on issues along with proposed solutions.
  • Work on SDTM conversion per SDISC standards
  • Create and validate ADaM data sets based on programming specification provided by study statistician.
  • May work across departments to design and implement new technologies.
  • Manage a workload of several projects and documents project work.
  • Maintain a consistent work schedule in accordance with departmental and company expectations.
  • Comply with industry regulatory requirements and standards and DFnet Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, or a scientific, analytic or health field.
  • Experienced SAS programmer
  • Basic knowledge of relational database design, FDA regulations (particularly 21 CFR Part 11), web-based Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and clinical data management system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, or a scientific, analytic or health field.
  • Experienced R programmer and Linux user.
  • Extensive knowledge of clinical research environment.
  • Experienced user of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experienced in implementing CDISC standards in the development of SDTM and ADaM datasets.

  • Ability to communicate programming issues with non-technical staff.

  • Ability to work independently, with some supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in statistical practices as they evolve industry-wide.
