• Prepares lesson plans, current seating charts, and classroom procedures for

· substitute teachers

• Uses a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources to

· present material in an interesting, stimulating and effective manner

• Collaborates with the Special Education team to meet the needs of all students
• Identifies student's areas for improvement and create opportunities for

· improvement through interdisciplinary collaboration

• Works with the Principal and Assistant Principal to ensure teaching methods are

· directed towards meeting and surpassing the standards

• Provides continual assessment and accurate tracking of student progress,

· maintains student work records and portfolios, and completes assigned

· paperwork in provided timeframes

• Conducts both student and teacher led parent conferences
• Consistently implements required and appropriate adaptations and

· modifications for English Learners, Special Education students, and 504 students

• Attends and participates in Student Success Team, Parent/Teacher Advisory

· Council, and other school-based meetings and activities as well as professional

· development training

• Assumes supervision duties as determined by the site, and may occasionally be

· asked to substitute a period

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

· Steady work ethic and a high level of patience to overcome difficult challenges

· Maintain a high standard of honesty and integrity and present oneself with poise

· Additionally, experience in the following areas is helpful:

· Experience teaching in an urban public school or charter school setting

· Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

· At least two years of experience with a proven track-record of high achievement

· in the classroom

· Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

· Master’s degree in subject matter field or Education is strongly preferred

· Must possess a current California teaching credential with proper Subject Matter

· Authorization in for the position applied for or be enrolled in a

· credentialing/internship program at a college/university

· Solid knowledge of subject matter, including California Common Core State

· Standards and subject-specific frameworks and assessments

· Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
