Job Description
Outside Sales Representative
Job Summary
Are you a self-starter looking to solve client issues through technology? Do you love talking to clients and meeting new people? Are you interested in an opportunity with an established technology company? If so, Dewpoint is hiring an Outside Sales Representative (OSR) to generate new leads by developing client relationships, following up on marketing-identified prospects, making outbound sales calls, and attending association and sales events focused on increasing technology sales.

Reports to: VP of Sales
Directs: N/A
Status: Salaried, Exempt (Full Time), a combination of Base / Commission
Key Job Responsibilities
• Perform day-to-day prospecting activities to solicit new clients, logos, and add-on business. This includes cold-calling, personalized emails, calls with prospective clients, and other communication methods.
• Cultivate customer relationships
• Develop a thorough understanding of Dewpoint, including our products and services
• Understand prospective customers’ business needs and articulate compelling Dewpoint solutions to address them
• Generate leads to build a solid pipeline
• Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities
• Collaborate with team members to improve our sales processes
• Develop call plans
• Accurately track all sales-related activities in Salesforce
• Accelerate closing of new clients to achieve sales and revenue targets


Required
• Experience with information technology sales
• Ability to consult with all levels of clients within an organization to pursue them to purchase solutions or products from Dewpoint
• Experience developing a sales plan
• Excellent follow-up skills in responding to clients
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently


Compensation

• Competitive pay consisting of base salary plus commission

Minimum Physical Expectations
• Physical activity that often requires keyboarding, sitting, phone work, and filing
• Physical activity that often requires extensive time working on a computer
• Physical activity may require lifting under 25 lbs
• Physical activity that sometimes requires travel – car, train, and/or air
• Physical activity that sometimes requires bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and/or twisting
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
• Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face to face (in English) for long periods of time


Minimum Environmental Expectations
• This position will require working indoors. Typical workweek is eight (8) hour workdays, five (5) days per week with some weekend work, as well as longer hours as needed.
