We are looking for a Veterinary Technician to Join Our Pack™ at Best Care Animal Hospital in Houston, TX!
REPORTS TO: Practice Manager
Veterinary Technician Job Responsibilities:
A veterinary technician provides animal care by determining animal requirements; conducting diagnostic procedures; assisting during operations; feeding and caring for animals; maintaining supplies and equipment; maintaining records.

Veterinary Technician Skills and Qualifications:
· Knowledge of Animal Behavior, Animal Husbandry, Documentation Skills, Analyzing Information, Clinical Skills, creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Performing Diagnostic Procedures, Use of Medical Technologies, Attention to Detail, Patience, Verbal Communication
· Registered veterinary technicians (RVTs) must obtain state-issued credentials, which requires passing the VTNE & graduating from an accredited program with an associate degree
Expertise & Experience:
· 1 years of experience as a veterinary technician
· Displays a professional manner at all times
Physical:
· Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
· Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
· Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day.
· Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
· Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
· Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.

· None required.
