We are seeking a proven IT Director with experience managing IT services across a fast-growing organization with hundreds of physical locations and thousands for employees. This role will lead a team managing cloud and on-premise systems, software and help desk. They should have experience with physical location acquisition and onboarding IT services into newly acquired locations. They should have a strong customer-service orientation that can ensure our pet centers can focus on their work while IT makes the technology they require as seamless as possible. The Director of IT should have experience selecting and managing IT products and service vendors. They should have deep knowledge of security (physical, virtual and data security). They should have experience rolling out and maintaining IT services such as phone and internet, workstations, Azure and AWS, email and collaboration systems.
This role supports multiple locations across the U.S. Excellent communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate business growth objectives into a scalable IT strategy
* Manage and grow the IT team, work alongside and mentor IT professionals
* Develop and maintain IT budgets and spend
* Develop onboarding strategies to quickly onboard acquired pet centers into our physical and virtual environments
* Develop a culture of customer service across IT to support our pet professionals
* Develop IT strategy for ensuring system reliability and security
* Develop IT roadmap and milestones and build executive support for the IT roadmap
Requirements
Required Skills
* Deep knowledge physical, virtual, on-premise and cloud security networks and infrastructure
* Management of Windows AD, Office365, Azure and AWS
* Manage help desk strategies and performance
* Experience managing IT services across many physical locations throughout the US
* Deployment of phone/VOIP systems
* 10 years IT management experience
* 3 years IT Director or VP experience
* Effective communication skills. You have outstanding verbal and written communication skills that enable you to speak effectively with anyone and everyone who crosses your path
* Reliable. People know that they can rely on you to follow through and make things happen.
* Exceptional troubleshooting skills, detail orientated
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of comfort communicating with and influencing senior executives
* Strong management skills along with the ability to roll up sleeves and act as high performing individual contributor if needed
* Self-starter, who is comfortable working with ambiguity
* Thriving in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving
* A high level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and a results-orientation
