Despir Logistics, LLC is Hiring a Help Desk Technician Near Lisle, IL

About the Position:

The Help Desk Technician I role helps provide technical assistance to employees who need assistance with computer issues, program issues, and serves as a point of contact to the IT vendor.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance
  • Perform troubleshooting with different diagnostic techniques
  • Escalate issues to the IT vendor as needed
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware or software issues
  • Follow up with employees for status and information and provide updates
  • Document all help desk interactions and resolutions in the appropriate ticketing tool
  • Create and update IT infrastructure and services documentation
  • Manage user access to various applications in relation to the onboarding/offboarding process

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Attends all required training and staff meetings
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor towards customers, visitors, and co-workers
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures of DeSpir Logistics
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-years’ prior experience working as a Help Desk Technician
  • Certification: CompTIA A preferred not requires
  • Working knowledge of fundamental operations of Microsoft Office 365, Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple/Mac, and other emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of VoIP telephony systems
  • Ability to understand business needs and relay into easy to understand, non-technical language
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Driven, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience working in logistics or transportation preferred
