What we are looking for…
Design Works Gaming is looking for an intelligent and determined Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering Team in Scottsdale! At DWG, our Software Engineer are responsible for front and back-end development with strong knowledge in all software development lifecycle. We seek candidates who are experienced in developing modern web interfaces and scalable back-end services, remarkable problem-solving skills, understanding of web performance, attention to detail and a passion to succeed.

At Design Works Gaming, you will be a part of a small, close-knit team of engineers that are agile, data driven, and collaborative. You’ll help analyze customer behavior, work with other teams, propose ideas and solutions during sprint planning with your team, implement big ideas, and then measure results. Your Role and Impact:
- Contribute to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Work to connect both the front and back end of DWG games to online casino operators/aggregators
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve our in-house software platforms
- Assist with working on internal new features, enhancements, language conversion, bug fixes and more
- Contribute to, or ideally lead, throughout all phases of the development lifecycle, from conception through design, development, deployment, and operation.
- Assist with automating existing and new processes and services to increase stability and efficiency
- Participate in code reviews with other members of the software team
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience broad development experience (architecture, design, development, delivery, etc.)
- Experience with C#
- Experience with JavaScript
- Experience with .NET Core MVC
- Knowledge of NoSQL Database (Cosmos DB, MongoDB)
- Some working experience with Linux distributions
- Working knowledge with ETL/ELT platforms, such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SAS, etc.
- Strong REST API development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of architecting new tables, schemas, and data structures
- Some exposure to DevOps tools including Bamboo, GitHub Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket
- Experience working cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP
