Staff Accountant
Design Within Reach is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. You'll manage the accurate recording of financial transactions, in accordance with GAAP, including the preparation of financial information and reports; compilation and analysis of financial information; reconciliation of general ledger accounts and maintenance of subsidiary ledgers. You will report into the Accounting Manager.

- Responsible for performing USD/CAD daily credit card reconciliation
- Prepare USD/CAD monthly bank reconciliation and partnering with our AR & AP to resolve bank differences
- Prepare other monthly GL account reconciliations
- Record all deposits and chargebacks
- Transfer excess funds to operating bank account
- Prepare monthly reoccurring journal entries
- Assist with audit requests
- Identify and implement process and performance improvements
- Special projects as needed

This might be you if you have the following skills and abilities...
- BA/BS degree in finance or accounting
- 3 years of general accounting experience including monthly closings (Exposure to bank recs and credit card transactions a plus)
- Retail industry experience preferred
- Must have knowledge of ERP Systems (NetSuite and Adyen a plus)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Maintain high level of confidentiality
- Solid understanding of FASB rules and regulations
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be self starter
- Strong working knowledge of Windows based applications including Excel, Word, Access, MS outlook and accounting packages
