Deschutes Brewery is Hiring a Sales Development Specialist Near Bend, OR

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Development Specialist to join the sales Business Development Team. The Sales Development Specialist will support the sales development team, field sales, and the national accounts team by providing support with administrative duties, data management (VIP/SRS, KARMA), tracking sales goals and other sales analyst functions. This position will either be based out of Bend, Oregon or depending on candidates location may be eligible for full-time remote.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Manage the data management and reporting process for the designated sales applications (VIP/SRS/KARMA).
  • Analyze data and key metrics to assist with creating fact-basted selling tools and key insights.
  • Maintain the sales database with regards to data integrity (distributor set-up, data discrepancies, call points, authorized items) and item cataloging (new item set up, data discrepancies, call point items, TTB approvals, UPCs, packaging and graphics).
  • Identify tools, processes, and technologies to enhance the sales force.
  • KARMA - Maintain/Update Sales Team Surveys and continue to streamline/amend surveys to enhance the team is collecting in the field.
  • Support the sales leadership team through providing routine sales reporting, ad hoc support, and advertising communication.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pricing Analyst with price promotion management. Create and update deals in VIP/Price Promotion to ensure pricing depletions/accruals are accurate and paid in a timely manner.
  • Pricing Communication - notify Distributors of new products, FOBs, UPCs, and item codes.
  • Provide retail chains with monthly, quarterly, and trimester pricing.
  • Assist with the National Account Initiatives and the Deschutes Sales team KPI & Company Goal Tracking, which includes trade marketing programs, set up and coordination of programs, budget tracking and overall effectiveness of the program.
  • Assess weekly gap closure analysis for National Accounts and communication to sales team.
  • Provide administration support which includes retail chain new item setup.
  • New distributor onboarding which includes VIP, Brand Folder, Halo, and vendor set up. Ensures that all compliance documents are in order.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external partners, field inquiries both internally and externally regarding item pricing, product availability, launch dates and item cross reference coding.
  • Provide VIP/KARMA training for all new sales co-owners as well as on-going training for the Sales Team.
  • Assist with sales analysis on projects and provide insights to the sales team.
  • Must follow and adhere to all Deschutes Brewery company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to be Successful:

  • Prior applicable administrative work or analyst experience.
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent combination education and experience.
  • Prior experience using VIP/SRS and KARMA.
  • Advanced level computer skills - expert level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, results oriented and ability to adapt to changing priorities with a focus on timelines.
  • Strong presentation skills for training and team development.
  • Experience working in CPG analytics which includes researching, gathering, insights, and evaluating sales statistics with the ability to condense information into concise reports/presentations and share insights.
