Description

As a Shipping Associate at our climate-controlled manufacturing facility, you will be a critical part of our shipping operations. We ship our products to all 50 states and over 65 countries each year, making your role vital in ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of our products worldwide. This position operates on a first shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of occasional overtime on Fridays.

The Shipping Associate verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments both domestic and international while preparing items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material. This position’s primary responsibilities are fulfilled in duties mostly related to the coordination of product transportation.  

Position Expectations:

•  Prepare shipments by building pallets accurately as well as pulling boxes for small parcel shipments.
• Oversee the daily shipping process and provide logistical planning for international and domestic shipments.
• Complete freight quoting for customers that includes timely follow-up with customers.
• Ensure accurate documentation for all shipments including international documents
• Examine package contents and compare with records, such as invoices and orders, to verify accuracy of outgoing shipments.
• Prepare documents, such as packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
• Monitor and adhere to product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
• Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as a bar code reader, hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.
• Support quality control procedures including packing to minimize damage during transit
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
• Operate Forklift, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Maintain position responsibilities with good organization skills.
• Work well with others.

Background Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience preferred.
• Basic international importing and exporting knowledge preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft WORD, and EXCEL.
• Fork truck experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to carry up to 40 lbs.
