Position Summary

A leading global supply chain management company of agriculture commodities for feed and fiber is seeking a self-motivated individual for the Manager of our Eloy Warehouse team located in Eloy, AZ. The successful candidate will be highly organized, skilled at leading teams and capable of multitasking. The Warehouse Manager will ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and profitably. This role will report to the Senior Vice President – Far West & Pima for US Cotton.

Position Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily workflow of the warehouse; schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
• Hires and sets up training for new warehouse employees.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
• Ensures timely delivery of reports to necessary teams in Richardson office.
• Negotiates freight rates for inbound cotton and any necessary rebates with respective suppliers of such cotton.

Operational Responsibilities

• Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
• Completes all required management reports.
• Executes maintenance activities when needed.
• Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
• Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
• Ensures that the warehouse is operating safely and correctly.
• Conducts daily safety meetings for all warehouse associates.
• Approve weekly payroll for local team.
• Communicate with vendors, contractors, and truck drivers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
• Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
• Strong planning, change management, and analytical skills.
• Ability to effectively direct a workforce in an agile warehouse environment.
• Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Five (5) years of warehouse operations experience; supervisory or managerial experience strongly preferred
